And I can't imagine the time it took to figure too.

I knew I wanted to do a panorama for the reveal but was never sure how to do it until I planned out the chapter cover. Planning it out was a lot easier than it was to draw, for sure. I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm glad you like it as well!

And no worries on not replying to all.

The perspective is beautiful, the art excellent.
And without a doubt the effect of seeing it captures the idea of presentation very well, take my hat off to you sir.

Jokes aside, holy focken moley. I am profusely writing notes down. All the angles perspectives. It's amazing! If you told me this was official, only the gore and death would give it away
Welcome to New Hope

You may remember that I had a little workshop last year, which was basically me spitballing ideas and you giving me feedback. It was incredibly helpful and you guys had some amazing ideas! It helped me get organized and I started thinking of New Hope less as a plot point and more like what it is. A settlement and a testament to the lives and will of the Pokemon living in it.
I listened to the town theme from Red/Blue rescue almost on repeat while designing the new layout, based more on a top-down rpg setup than the basic-square-google-sketch-up from before. I thought about what the buildings would be made of and how each shop would decorate themselves in their own way, like they do in the games. Instantly recognizable from a distance, but still fits seamlessly into the homes surrounding it. I made the houses in the town square small and round, with some variations in size and expansions, with simple roofs and doors. You may be able to see in the back some scaffolding along the cave wall? Those are actual walkways that Pokemon use to get into homes they've literally carved into the walls of the cave. New Hope is home to hundreds of Pokemon, and now, hopefully it feels that way too.
