So I Caught My First Shiny the Other Day

It's my very first wild encounter shiny in my entire pokemon career, too. I know this should be super exciting, but I'm namely questioning weither it even counts?
It's an officially licensed Pokémon game from Nintendo, sure, but it's a mobile game adapted for the switch., It's Pokemon Quest. I'm talking about Pokémon Quest It's a minecraft-inspired cube world where you have an exploration team set up to explore the island and you're a human researcher. It's got a setup where you can meet wild pokemon to join your team by cooking food and the smell will draw in more pokemon.

So I set up a random meal and let it go while i take the team out on expeditions and I come back, the food's ready, new poke-friend, yada yada. Then I start using the new pokemon as training fodder and I check the quest notifications and it gave me a prize for making friends with a shiny! And I'm like 'uh oh... Do I still have them? How do I tell? No one looks any different?' So I start checking them. Lo and behold, I still had it. My first shiny pokemon ever. And then I proceeded to be miffed that they didn't bother to put in the alternate colour scheme so it was obvious, it's just a star in the corner of their name card.

It's a Jigglypuff.
I called it Bo Jangle.

I gotta say, this new direction you've gone in for this is so spicy. I really like how this one has developed and the things you're building up to

Thank you! I tried to be more conscious of the world around the characters rather than just making it up as I got and hoping for the best, It's been a lot of extra hassle, but even if we never see them, this is a fully set up town and I really like knowing that, both as a creator and as a reader.

Completely unrelated, but this universe just feels like it'd be a brilliant setting for a DND-like campaign or a RP. So much to do, so many characters, so many mission ideas or possible quests!
