There's been a lot going on between work and home and I still haven't been able to process it all. I got a promotion, feeding a stray, starting a new project and trying to keep up with my friends, it's...it's a lot. I'll be honest. I got a desk calender earlier last month and I've started writing in the date margins for stuff like 'when to pay bills' or 'balace your checkbook' or even basic things like which days I should take to shower. I forget basic things like when to eat or what to eat and end up not going grocery shopping until there's nothing but a can of beans left in the cupboard!

I'm not trying to sound like I'm complaining, I'm glad to be making the steps needed to further my career both artistically and in my 9-5. It's hard to stick to things that give your life a little more structure when that very concept is so foreign to you. Bad habits are hard-grained and difficult to break, but not impossible. Like I tell my coworker, baby steps. whether it's making a good meal one night that's enough to last a couple days, or keeping the ingredients around to make a basic sandwich (recently discovered blackberry jam and it is HEAVEN on my tastebuds)

Point is there's a lot going on, and most of it's new and new stuff can be scary. It's easy to say 'no thanks' and go on like nothing happened, and it's just as easy to walk away completely and never touch that area of your life again.
Here's the thing, though....I never do anything the easy way.

Let's Dance.

the best thing about blackberries is that blackberry bushes grow vey fast.

I was wondering, do you draw this comic digitally or traditionally?

I draw Digitally, but a few of my future projects have me working traditionally, so I'm working on improving my skills for both.

Congrats on your promotion! Remember that burnout is real and it's ok to slowdown on some things if you feel overwhelmed for too long. Good luck with all of your projects!
