I hope everyone had a good weekend!! I've got a couple updates for you for Halloween in lieu of the original plan
I am still planning on doing a Livestream come Halloween day with some horror and dark games like Black Book, Barrow Hill and Phasmophobia with some friends of mine. Scheduling at work is very weird now, so unfortunately do not have any set times or dates, but I will keep you all posted both here and on the Discord.
I've also been working on a couple commissions, so that's fun. No joke, I'm having a blast working on these projects, I just wish I could share them! Maybe next year, I'll be able to work on some of them with you guys.
Off topic: I recently started playing around with making my own chocolates and candy because it's hard to find mass-produced stuff with a low enough sugar content not to make me sick, and I've had mixed results. I tried to make Truffles this last weekend and I absolutely did not follow the recipe right and ended up putting in WAAAAYYYY too much cocoa powder in and they were goopy and DARK. Like, 85% dark chocolate truffles that have a melting temperature of your fridge, goopy.
As of writing this, I melted down the half I'm not sharing with my coworkers with the remainder of condensed milk that I also did not make correctly and mixed in like 2 cups of powdered sugar and the remainder of one package of cocoa (it was around cup) and I got the consistency needed to set it in the bowl to fridge overnight and then spoon-fed the remainder of it into my face because all of my spontaneous doctoring, no matter how misguided, did work.
Follow recipes for first-time cooking adventures, folks. Don't waste an entire pint of perfectly good milk and a whole canister of cocoa powder for a pipe dream.
I'll update you on the final product later, though, for sure.
