I sat down for about five minutes last week and figured out in that time that I don't know nearly as much as I need to in order to properly and accurately represent some people and concepts that I'll be using for future projects. So I did some digging. I have maybe ten or so books right now that are relevant, but I find myself sorely lacking tomes involving historical fashion movements, linguistic history, and various forms of combat.

Now in theory I could make it all up and have it loosely based around reality, it is a fantasy story after all, but I'd risk misrepresenting the concepts and adding to the already plethora of misconception that already exists; and I cannot, in good conscience, do that.

So here I find myself looking for every resource I can get my hands on for everything from medieval dagger throwing and medicine to Tarot.
I wish I was kidding.

Kindle versions of books are much cheaper than physical copies though, I may have to set up my old tablet to be the horse on that crusade...

The fire and water looks really cool!

I love worldbuilding. It's part of why I like books more than tv shows. Author's usually spend a lot mor effort crafting their worlds than tv writers do.

Artifexian on youtube has some interesting worldbuinding videos, mostly focused on language and geography.
