You know that feeling where you feel like you're essential and appreciated, but really the company is clinging onto you as the everyman that can do everything?
I don't know how common or isolated the experience is, but long story short: I'm still doing everyone else's job and now I can't even do my own. Which sucks, because I actually really like my job. It's fun! I get to organize things and play with numbers and problem solve all day and no one bothers me!
I just want to work my reports, is that too much to ask? ;w;

Remember that at the end of the day you're working to make them money. It's okay to say no to things that fall outside of your job description. A lot of companies will just keep piling jobs onto you until you either get fed up or burnout!

The only reason I can't say 'no' is because it's a mandatory process, and I'm the only one there in the mornings to take it over until the afternoon worker comes in. We've got someone in line for a mid, but I'm hoping we get someone hired soon to hop on earlier. Especially with the holiday season coming up, we're going to need it.
Fortunately, both my director and my coworkers know exactly how much time my actual job takes up, even if they don't know what I do; so they're at least aware that this is a problem
