I am writing this at way past my bed time on a night I've been asked to go in early...like... five AM early.
I am currently lacking the mental fortitude to be tactful, and truth be told, I've very much enjoyed having this.... three hundred or so page buffer the last year or so... it's been nice to do other things for a while. Come next year, I'll have to crack down on everything that I haven't finished and everything I haven't started so we can keep going as planned. And I'm actually looking forward to it! Been doing a lot more writing, though not strictly for Mitigation, and it's been remarkably good practice for later big projects I have in the works (may or may not do something similar to nanowrimo and write a full book by the end of next year... that may be a bit ambitious, but we'll see)
In other news, two things!:
1. I'm looking for a new vehicle. My car has decided it does not want to cooperate with life anymore and I'm tired of throwing money at it. Goal is new car by end of January. I've been talking with my dad about what my options are, and I have a lot to think about in the next few weeks. Speaking of my dad:
2. My dad has started reading Mitigation! My mom's been the first to read my work so far, and after finishing my Inktober challenge, Dad asked for a link for this story. Yes, it's embarrassing, I'm almost a decade out of highschool, and it's still embarrassing. But he's my Dad, and he loves me and he wants to support my work. And I'm contractually obligated, as his young'un, to let him. It'll be a minute before he gets here, so please say hello and be nice : )
