This page was so painful to draw....That second panel went through like six iterations before I settled on this, and I still think there might be a better angle to draw it from.
I did end up getting both of my books in (can't remember if I told you) and they are actually pretty interesting. The one on Icelandic magic didn't have any new staves that I haven't seen before, but it did go into depth of the various versions of each of the mains and what exactly their purpose and history is, it's pretty cool!
The one on Icelandic language turned out to be more a historical text than and actual "how to speak this language"
yeah it's got all 32 characters and how to pronounce them and yeah, it's got a couple thousand words of vocabulary and a few common phrases, but not much else. Still worth my money and I am reading it.
The app I downloaded though is still teaching me way more than I thought I'd get out of it from the restrictive five minutes a day. It's visual and audio based, the only time you see what the english version of the word is when it's introduced. Afterward, it's refereed to only by that language and the picture accompanying it. This thing is small, but it is mighty, I love this thing.
@Ves: It's called "Drops" and it's got something like 100 languages on it, but it's the only one I found with more than Norwegian and Swedish (you'd think rosetta stone and duo-lingo would cover Danish or Scandinavian, but no~~)
Icelandic is fun, guys. seriously
